About our Products

Our Soaps are tested on Soap Lovers, NOT Animals.
Our Soaps are Vegetarian, Vegan and All-Natural.

Please note that due to the handcrafted nature of our soaps, each bar will be different, there are no two bars that are the same. We use all-natural ingredients in all of our products, and the coloring of our soaps may vary, even in the same scents. The soaps that you receive may have been made in different batches, and one recipe may have slightly more ingredients then the other (i.e. paprika, poppy seeds, oatmeal, lavender). Most of our soap colors are naturally based, meaning that the soap will change color naturally when we add specific ingredients to it. Don’t worry though, everything is Skin Safe, we grow our own herbs, and use only the finest ingredients!

Essential Oils

Many Essential Oils have specific effects and qualities attributed to them. Listed below are a few that you may find helpful in everyday life.

Peaceful & Relaxing - Lavender, Sandalwood, Honeysuckle, Chamomile, Ylang-Ylang, Rose, Lemon Verbana
Energizing - Rosemary, Peppermint, Lemon, Lime, Jasmine, Honey
Stimulating & Uplifting - Bergamot, Orange, Jasmine, Rosemary, Lemon Verbana, Mints, Sage, Pine
Antiseptic - Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Lavender
Focusing, Head-clearing - Frankincense, Peppermint, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Chamomile, Lavender, Orange, Ylang-Ylang

The Basket Case Soap Co., LLC DOES NOT accept any responsibility for the misuse of any of our products and/or any allergic reactions that may occur. We gladly list ALL of our ingredients on all of the products that we offer. Due to the fact that I have many environmental & skin allergies, I know how important it is to know what is in the products BEFORE using them. There are NO hidden ingredients, what is listed on our pages, is exactly what you get in the products...nothing more, nothing less!!! Please make sure to check them out before ordering.


Can I return your products if I don’t like them?


Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, and for sanitary & health reasons, we ARE NOT able to accept any of our products back once they leave our facility. We DO offer FREE samples of our soaps and many of our other products, so if you are unsure of how something may smell, and you would like to sample it before purchasing, please contact us for your free samples.


Do you deliver?


Yes, but only within a 30 mile radius from our facility located in Endwell, NY (Upstate NY, near Binghamton). We ship USPS, and the rates are very reasonable (please see the shipping chart below). If you would like us to ship UPS, please just let us know.

What Methods of payment do you accept?


We gladly accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, most Bank Cards and PayPal Payments. Checks and Money Orders are also gladly accepted as well, you may print out your order and mail it in to us with your payment. We take extra pride in purchasing the highest-quality ingredients available. I think that this sets us apart from all the others. We ensure that only the best ingredients go into each and every product that we make. We do it all by hand here at The Basket Case Co., from the mixing to pouring, wrapping to custom labels, packaging to shipping, it’s all done in house.

 

How do I use the shopping cart?


For each item you would like to purchase simply choose the size and/or scent that you would like and click the "add to cart" button. A shopping cart window will then open showing you the product(s) that are currently in your cart. After adding an item to your cart you can now do one of three things:

1). Continue Shopping - Simply click on the "continue shopping" button and you will be brought back to the website so that you can browse and add more items to your cart if you desire. Don't worry, any items you have already added to your cart will remain there until you are ready to checkout. If at any point in time you would like to view your cart again click the "view cart" button located towards the top right of most pages.

 

2). Update Quantities - If you would like to purchase more than one of any item you can do so at any time by updating the quantity in your cart and then clicking on the "update cart" button. Your cart will then reflect the changes you made with the correct quantities and new order total.

 

3). Proceed To Checkout - Simply click on the "proceed to checkout" button. Once your cart is "full" and you click on the "proceed to checkout" button this will bring you to the payment options screen. You can pay with you credit/bank card or with an existing PayPal account. Please follow the directions below depending on your choice.


Paypal
- If you already have a PayPal account just log in on the right hand side using your email address and password. Please make sure to click the "log in" button after filling in the required fields. This will bring you to a "review your payment" screen.  Please make sure your order reflects exactly what you wanted to purchase. If it does you will then need to choose "store pickup" or "flat rate shipping" as your shipping and handling method. Shipping rates can be seen just below. The default shipping method is store pickup which is free. Below that on the same screen you can choose the payment method of your choice and enter the correct shipping address. Once everything is correct and you have reviewed the order click the "pay now" button to complete your order. You will be redirected to a confirmation page where you can print a copy of your receipt if you wish. If you have any questions before or after submitting your order, please contact us.

 

Credit/Bank Card - You will need to enter your billing and credit/bank card information on the left of the screen. Once you have entered all of the required information click the "review order and continue" button. This will bring you to a "review your payment" screen.  Please make sure your order reflects exactly what you wanted to purchase. If it does you will then need to choose "store pickup" or "flat rate shipping" as your shipping and handling method. Shipping rates can be seen just below. The default shipping method is store pickup which is of course free. Below that on the same screen you can choose the payment method of your choice and enter the correct shipping address. Once everything is correct and you have reviewed the order click the "pay now" button to complete your order.
